Hi, is your mum currently on any medication? Is she under stress? Have you considered how is her sleeping environment like? Some easy changes that can be done include: (1) make sure her room is quiet, dark and cool enough, especially in the warm weather, (2) avoid big meals or spicy food just before sleeping, helping to prevent indigestion.
Instead of watching tv or using social media, you can also consider playing some soft, soothing and relaxing music for your mum to help calm her mind.
